The Lodge is located 4 miles from the Beaver Island Ferry Boat Dock and Downtown St. James, 3.5 miles from Welke Private Airport, and 3 miles from the Beaver Island Municipal Airport. The nearest mainland airport, served by major airline carriers, is in Traverse City, MI which is located about 45 miles south of Charlevoix.

This current owner is trying to monopolize the restaurant business on Beaver Island. In the last few years his inheritance has purchased The Shamrock, The Beachcomber, The Harbor Market, Daddy Franks Ice cream shop, The Stoney Acre bar and grill, and finally The Beaver Island Lodge.
