I went and made a new character revolving around the staggering power of the weapon art, but it takes 4 or so to stagger Margit when it should be 2. I dunno if I'm doing something wrong. 2. 1.First build that I actually really got anywhere in the game with, I used that *and* a big shield. Nah something had to give and imo stance nerf is the best option - FP cost would decrease elemental utility and CC in low FP chars and increased cast would make it much less worth trying to pull off with the short range (just opening yourself to an asswhupping).
